New Broadcaster tune pulled from a crappy rehearsal recording. Tune is tentatively called “Drug Mule Blues”…It’s catchy, even in the low-fidelity state heard here. Tell us what ya think and win a prize!*

*the prize is a lasting sense  of internal  mental peace and serenity. Not valid in North Dakota. Check with your doctor before attempting internal peace.

A nice interview/article by Chris Conti in this week’s Providence Phoenix.

Live from last Friday @ DEAD CAT GALLERY in Providence. “THERE YOU GO AGAIN”

Victorious demo (recorded live at rehearsal, then overdubs added during my lunch break at the guitar shop. One of the perks of the job heh heh!)…simple punk rock salad with reverb-soaked surf guitar dressing. I usually don’t get too self-reflexive  in my lyric writing but this tune is kind of a personal song, discusses going through a past substance situation and subsequent withdrawals in my early 20s and how I think I somehow came out the other end feeling stronger. I’m not the type to discuss this stuff in detail  so I will let the tune do the talking for me.

As for the recording it’s not the best quality but between this and the Burgess Shale demo I think you can start to get a picture of how Rational Music (aka the next Broadcaster record) will likely end up sounding. Feel free to offer constructive criticism or just say hi so we know someone’s listening!

BROADCASTER’S 2012 MLB OPINIONS OF THE GAME Blog: post #1, 4.5.2012

BROADCASTER’S BASEBALL UPDATE: 4/5/12 Happy (sort-of) MLB Opening Day! First of MLB.TV rules all…And Johan Santana just pitched a motherfucker of a game! It’s all downhill from here but it’s nice to see my guys pull out a great game against the thoroughly unlikeable tomahawk chop lovin’ Atlanta Braves. Also Bill Murray somehow got me to watch a Cubs game. And finally Steven Strasburg is amazing to watch but dude shave that fucking goat off. Linecum is a damn hell ass good pitcher that doesn’t look like he’s waiting in line for tickets to Mushroomhead, bring your facial hair into this decade. Indie dude beard, ironic Rollie Fingers tribute mustache, anything but that fucking ugly ass bro-tastic goat…sincerely, Broadcaster of Providence, Rhode Island, USA

Newest Broadcaster music video, for the demo recording of our song “Burgess Shale (A Decline)”….uses footage from our performances at As220, News Cafe, and Firehouse 13 as well as random clips from the always awesome Prelinger Archive. Enjoy and don’t be shy, let us know what you think!

New demo recorded at our last rehearsal, new song…not officially titled yet but we’ve been refering to it as “Decline.” The working title I wrote down was “Burgess Shale.” So take your pick on which name you like better! Either way it’s a recording featuring our new drummer Jen and a song we’ve yet to play live yet so give it a listen!
